A MODERN LOCHINVAR. (Times Correspondent.) WANGANUI, Saturday. A modern Lochinvar in Clarence Amos Woods appeared at the Police Court lo answer a charge in respect lo depriving the parents of a girl aged 1 I years and 0 months of their lawful custody of the child.

The ofrence is alleged to have been committed at Taibapc, and the accused was remanded to appear there next Tuesday. . The ease Is a remarkable one m that, it appears that the accused and the girl decided lo lead a gipsy life. They rode away from Taibape, in Hie direc lion of Napier, on a white horse, ann when arrested the accused was on Hie road about fifty miles from Taihape.
