Italian operations against tribesmen in Cyreniaca, and Italian Somaliland have been attended by successful results, Italian casualties being few and the rebels heavy-. The rebels later remobilised and reinforced, but were again routed. Six Colonial troops Were killed and 28 were wounded. The rebels had 150 killed. Italian progress north of Italian Somaliland, In the Nogal territory led to the submission of the Omarmahmud tribe. Operations were carried out with naval support. It Is semi-officlally stated that Italian losses were Insignificant and the rebels' heavy. Th'e Italians' purpose is to occupy the whole of the Nogal territory as far as the frontiers of Abyssinia and British Somaliland, the object being the eradication of the anarchy, which Is stated to be rampant throughout the country.
