SEAMEN STRIKERS. WILL WORK WITH VOLUNTEERS. BACK TO ARBITRATION COURT. Rocelved March 17, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, march 17, A meeting of seamen and wharf labourers will be held today to discuss the coastal steamship strike position. It Is stated that it will bo suggested at the meeting that members of both unions present themselves .for work on the wharves and ships with free labourers offering. The men are said to be willing to resume on tho owners' terms. MELBOURNE, March 17. At a meeting of tho Federated Seamen's Union It was decided to apply to the Federal Arbitration Court for re-registratlon. It is understood the action taken by tho coastal shipowners of New South Wales In engaging volunteer labour to man their ships was largely Instrumental In forcing . the decision. The balanoe-sheet for the past year was presented at the meeting. It shows a credit balance of 3s 6d compared with 2s for the previous year.
