THE CONCLUDING DAY. SCAT WINS PAEROA HANDICAP. (Special to the Times.) PAEROA, Wednesday. The jubilee race gathering or the Ohinemuri Jockey Club is being concluded, here to-day. Fine weather prevails, and the course is again in good order. From an attendance point of view the club has put up good returns in connection with the present meeting. All parts of Llie province are well represented in the big gathering of sporting folk hero to-day. The racing has provided some keen'finishes thus far. while the volume of speculation has been of the active order. Mr A. W. Gordon is the stipendiary steward at the meeting, and the various officials in the leading posts are contributing by their efforts to the prominence and enjoyment of the outing. Infante was quickest to the .first fence from Archibald, Prince Rufus, Arsene Lupin, Hokioi, Miss Melva. Archibald then went to the front, and soon opened up a big pap from the rest of the field. Coming past the stand the first time he was some lengths clear of Arsene Lupin, with Infanle following, in that order. Miss Hokioi, Miss Melva, Prince Rufus and Melva, whose rider had lost an iron, had run up. second to Archibald as they entered the back, the leading pair being followed by Arsene Lupin, Prince Rufus, and Hokioi, with Infante a long way back last. Half a mile from home Prince Rufus went out after Archibald, but could make no impression on the leader, who won easily by three legntha from Prince Rufus, who was four lengths in front of Miss Melva. Going along the back the order was Chairman, Quincoma, NewMoon, Star of the East, Killute, Blue Sky, Gay Comet, Glen Abbey, and Pinon. Racing across the top Quincoma had charge from Chairman, Genetra, Star of the East, New Moon and Blue Sky. Quincoma was the first to turn for home from Genetra, Chairman, New Moon, Blue Sky, and Gay Comet, New Moon running a little wide at this point. In the run to the post Chairman stayed on nicely to win by-three-quarters of a length from Quincoma, who was a similar distance in front of New Moon. Killute was half-a-lcngth away fourth, and then came Blue Sky, Star of the East, Norma Talmadge, Gay Comet, Ohinemurl, and Genetra. Time, 1.2 G 1-5. Totalisator investments, £D22G.

Value continued in the lead across the top, followed by Arch Arrow, Flying Juliet and Alapai. the last two racing together. Value came around the home turn slightly in front of Flying Juliet, with Arch Arrow and Alapai following. The two leaders had a great lusslo over the concluding stages, Flying Juliet heading Value near the post, lo get the verdict by half a head.
