ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
SOUTH AUCKLAND EXECUTIVE. The South Auckland Association Management Committee met on Monday evening to finalise matters in connection with tiie past season’s work. Mr J. A. Clark presided. The hon. treasurer submitted a rough draft of the financial results showing a small loss on the season's work, but all outstanding accounts had been paid. The accounts were approved of, and are to be drawn up, audited, and submitted to the annual general meeting on Saturday, April 10. The secretary advised that new senior and junior clubs were in course of formation, and that the Goldfields and Huntly Sub-Associations were arranging to hold their annual general meetings before Hie end of March. The N.Z.F.A. advised that the negotiations for a visit of a team representing South Africa had broken down and that they were in touch with the Canadian authorities regarding a visit of a team to New Zealand this season. The Goldfields Association invited the S.A.F.A. to play a match at Paeroa on Saturday, April 3, and it was left to the secretary to approach the local clubs, to communicate with the Goldholds Association, regarding the fixture. Consideration was given to the annual report, and the secretary was instructed to finalise this for presentation at the annual meeting. The committee passed a very hearty vote of thanks to the chairman for so ably presiding at the various meetings held during the twelve months, and mutual expressions ol’ good feeling were returned lo all those who had given of their, time and experience towards the welfare of the code.
