GOLF.

ROCKY DOWNS CLUB. * At the annual meeting Mr G. Johnston (president) was chairman, and there was a good muster, of members. The annual report stated that the club had experienced a successful year, and eulogised the president for his many services to the club. The balance sheet was presented by liic lion, treasurer (Mr 11. Bailey). The statement disclosed that the receipts had been £l2O 2s Gd and the expenditure £B9 (is lid, leaving a credit balance of £3l Is lid. Regarding assets and liabilities a surplus of the former was shown, amounting lo £SB 7s ltd. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr George Johnston; vicepresidents, Messrs A. 11. Lambourne, B. G. Taylor and 11. Buckley; captain, Mr F. A. Hutchison; secretary, Mr 11. McDonald; treasurer, Mr 11. Bailey; auditor, Mr C. Hitchcock; committee, Messrs J. Corbett and D. Harding and o Ulcers.

The buttons and trophies for the past season were presented to the winners by Mrs A. 11. Eambournc, the prize list being as follows:—Ladies' championship—Senior: Miss A. Robinson; junior, Mrs Wynne. Men's championship—Senior, Mr V. W. Hutchison; junior, Mr C. Campbell. Club bultons were awarded to: Mrs Morgon, Miss E. Johnston, Mrs V. Edwards. Mrs Taylor, Miss Hobinson, Miss Kusabs, and to Messrs Hitchcock, Erl Johnston, Edwards, Tale, and D. liarding. Trophies were won by the following:—Miss Ella Johnston (Mrs Clyffc Taylor's trophy , Miss Hobinson (Mrs IS. C. Taylor's trophy), Mrs l.amhourne (Miss Itobinson's trophy), Miss Hobinson (Mrs Edwards' trophy), Miss Kusabs (Mrs Lambourne's trophy), .Mrs Lamhourne (Mrs Tate's trophy), Miss Ella Johnston (Holmes rose bowl and medal for Hie year).

In recognition of their past services Mr and Mrs 11. J. Moore-Jones were elected life, members of the club. A discussion took place regarding the limitation of membership, and it. was agreed that the question lie left lo the discretion of the incoming committee. Voles' of thanks to the outgoing officers, the ladies' entertainment commitlce, and the. Press concluded the meeting.
