AUCKLAND BURGLARIES.

AUDACIOUS THIEVES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Monday. An audacious burglary, one of three reported during the week-end, was committed at Mount Albert during Friday night. A house at the corner of Edendale and St Luke's Roads was entered while the occupants were asleep. The intruders were apparently in no hurry, as they sat down to supper in the dining-room and ransacked every room on the ground floor. A gold watch was stolen, also £1 in silver. The office of the Mount Albert Borough Council was broken into on Thursday evening. The thieves were able lo find only four shillings in money.

The office of Messrs Garrard and Dennett, accountants, in City Chambers, was robbed during Friday night, and about £-5 10s in bank notes and silver removed.
