DEATH OF THE HUSBAND. StiCCUMBED SATURDAY NIGHT. The Maori, Peter Rawiri, who was found on Tuesday evening at Te KOwhai with his throat cut and his right hand blown off, . alongside the dead body of Ids wife who was shattered beyond recognition by a charge of gelignite, succumbed to his injuries at the Waikato Hospital on Saturday evening. Deceased never recovered consciousness.

An inquest was opened yesterday morning but after evidence of identification had been taken it was adjourned until to-morrow morning.
