NEW STRAND AND FRANKTON. Another splendid programme will b« shown at the'New Strand and Frankton's Own Theatres to-night. The internationally famous' race track at l.atonia, Kentucky ,is the scene of the big and exciting climax of the swiftmoving story. Considerable interest will be taken in the big race scenes which conclude ' the picture. They were specially filmed for the production by Metro-Goldwyn cameramen during classic race in which the Trench champion-Epinard was defeated by an American horse. Three picture fights in "The Fighting Heart," give George O'Brien, popular William Vox star, ample opportunityHo display his boxing ability. Billy Dove and J. Ftirrell MacDonald are cast in prominent roles in this latest John Ford productibn. Seats may be booked at Lewis R. Eady and Son, Ltd.,' or by 'lheatre 'phone 1422. CITY BAND CONCERT TO-NtGHT, To-night a concert will be given in. the Theatre Royal by the Hamilton City Band. A very attractive programme has been arranged, and as the proceeds-will go towards the fund being raised to send the band to the Exhibition contest at Dunedin no doubt it' will make a popular appeal and draw a large .audience, "will be aa excellent, way. to wind up the holiday ( Anniversary Day). The band deseives support, for it is doing excelMU work and by attending the contest will assist in advertising Hamilton, IVpular prices will be charged.
