TEACHING SERVICE.
PROBATIONERS APPOINTED.
Applications for entrance to the teaching service in the Auckland Education District were received by the Auckland Education Board from 8? boys and 227 girls. Only 197 of the applicants the necessary educational, standard, and of this number 157 have been given positions. Among those appointed as probationers are—Messrs M. R. Buchan, Morrinsville D.IL; R.
