GIRL SPREADS INFECTION.

(Australian and N.Z. Gable Assn.) LONDON, January 26. \ girl who attended a dance at Pegswood, a village in Northumberland, infected 20 of her partners, or other quests, with smallpox. Onlv those who had mt been vaccinated have so far been infected. There are now 31 cases of smallpox in England of which 143 arc in Durham. Most of the cases are of a mild type.
