There is fine weather for the second day of the Pahiatua races. The course is excellent and the crowd large. Results:—

Time, 1.16 4-5. PONGAROA HIGH WEIGHT HANDICAP; Seven furlongs. Sarty, 9.6 1 Agitato, 10.13 2 Our Jack. 9.0 3 Scratched: Treadwell. Won by half a length. Time, 1-30.
