BAND OF HOPE.
MEETING AT HAMILTON EAST.
Last evening in Wesley Hall, Hamilton East, the second Band of Hope was held. Rev. F. E. Leadley occupied the chair ami gave an interesting address. The following programme was nicely rendered: Selection, "West Point, Cadets," 8.0. H. Orchestra; Instrumental Trio, Misses Fox, and Mr. Ottlie; violin solo, Mr. Ottlic; Chorus, "Keeping On," combined choirs; additional choir items (2), "Sparkling Water," and "The Temperance Army"; pianoforte solo, Mavis Haswell; trio (vocal), Misses Ruby and Eva Elliot and Mavis Haswell; solos by Misses Katie Clements (Rolotuna), Ethel and Gwiadys Jones; recitations by Miss F. Dixon (in costume), B. Leadley, Venus Magna!], Cora Dixon, Mavis Stablcford, Clare Dunford, and Masters Len Cower, Leslie Dunford, and Barry Stablcford. A dialogue entitled "Len's'Medal.'' Cast: "Mother," Miss K. Jack; "Temperance Visitor," Miss M. Haswell; children, Misses Margery Leadley, Jessie Height, Lydia Fox, Mavis Stablcford and Master Len Cower. The National Anthem brought a pleasant evening to a close.
