TOO MANY PORTS.
ON AUSTRALIAN COAST

Sir George Buchanan, the harbour expert, who has completed his inspection of Australian harbours, says that there arc too many small' ports stretching down the Australian coast, many of which have not been finished. It should be decided definitely what were to be ports of the country, and then they should bo developed independently of political pull.
