SILICO-CALCAIRE BRICK AND TILE CO.
A NGARUAWAHIA INDUSTRY. At the Waikato Winter ShoW this year the Silico-Calcaire Brick and Tile. Company have an exhibit which is located in close proximity to the root section. It is here that the various manufactures of the company may be inspected. The company is a manufacturer of scoria bricks—the greatest fire resisting brick in the world. In order to cope with the demand for this article the company is at present erecting works at Penrose. At these works Hie compank intends to specialise in the manufacture of those bricks. which have to-day taken the premier place in the building industry. These products (which are- unbreakable) are without a doubt the best procurable. No better brick than that under review could lie used in the erection of warehouses and such like buildings. A good building brick especially adapted for the construction of chimneys and houses is the sand lime brick, which is also one of the company's manufactures. Another outstanding feature of the company's productions is the "red brick." Tin's brick (which by the way can lie made lo any desired colour) is easy to cut and is proving a decided boom to the building community. One of the greatest features of the company's bricks is that they alt improve with age. Practical demonstrations are taking place at the Show, where the company is showing j he actual pressure on all classes of tricks manufactured.
