GUN CLUB NOTES.
THE LATEST SHOOfv Beautiful weather favoured the Hamilton ( Gun Club last week-end, when enthusiasts turned out in good numbers to try their skill at the clays. A new man at the game surprised the old shots, by annexing the possible ten in the first shoot, tieing with consistent W. Howe. I expect to see Curtis go further in the game. Another novice in Rayson showed he can knock them about. F. Loughlin pleased in a trial, but failed when the serious business was' entered upon. The most improved shot in the duty is undoubtedly McMiken, who only missed one bird in each of the three matsches. Keep it going, there are still some good purses to be won. S. Dominickovicli was going well in the novice 10-bird shoot, but missed his last two birds, which kept him out of the money. This shootist 'is not bad when on his wood. He should cultivate those right-hand birds. These shoots are proving very popular amongst members, who turn out in good force, and no sooner is one shoot over than they arc looking forward to the next. P. Jones, who showed to advantage early in the season, has been missing from the last few shoots. He may surprise the critics when next out.
