AN OBDURATE SHEIK.
REFUSES TO PAY TAXES DELHI, September 18. (Australian and f'.Z. cable Assn.; Civil war is, threatened in South Persia. A powerful Sheik refused to pay his taxes. He has now gathered a huge force to repel the Government's troops, which have been sent to subdue him. The pipe line of the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, which runs through the Sheik's property, is endangered.
