(Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) LONDON. November 23.
The report of the committee inquiring into the future rolf> of the Imperial Institute, with a view to the withdrawal of the overseas contribution, advocates the discontinuance of galleries exhibiting the resources of the Empire, and the substitution of a travelling exhibition of a really representative selection of Empire products in appropriate trade centres. It recommends the continuance of the institute as a clearing ho.iise for intelligence information, amalgamation with the Imperial Mineral Resources Bureau, the substitution of th e executive council by representatives of the scientific institutes, trade and commerce, Government departments and the Dominion High Commissioners. Th c recommendations were adopted at the Imperial Economic Conference.
