INFANT'S BODY IN SACK.

NO TRACE OF MOTHER.

By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday.

A newly-born male child was found in a sack near the Healh'oote bridge, in Colombo street, on August 20. At the inquest opened subsequently, Dr. Crcoke gave evidence that the child was fully developed, but had never breathed. The coroner returned a verdict that the child, whose parents were unknown was a full time child, that it had been born alive but had never breathed, and there was no evidence to show why it had not breathed.
