The Democratic Party passed a resolution 'that it is unable to support a Government having no Parliamentary basis. As a majority of the other parties have adopted the same view, it is believed Hcrr Strcsemann will now try to form a Cabinet supported by Parliamentary parties. LONDON, October 5.

The Chronicle's Berlin correspondent records yet another sensation. The old Government is to remain, and tn expert commission will examine the issues between the parties. Dr. Strescmarm on Saturday addresses the Reichstag, which will then be adjourned sine die. The eld Government will then work out its programme in detail. The Reichstag will reassemble within a fortlnght to consider a vote upon this programme.

NOT GOING BACK.

THE RUHR RAILWAYMEN. LONDON, October 5. The Morning Post's Paris correspondent says that all information reaching the French Government from the Ruhr indicates that though resistance has technically ceased, railwaymen, miners and otherwise arc not returning to work. It is confirmed that large numbers of workmen on October 1 received a month's pay in advance, as previously, while .'n the Palatinate many thousands were actually paid three months in advance on the same date.
