PATERANGI.

A Kitchen Evening. The ladies of Paterangi and girt friends of Miss Car), gave a kitchen evening on Wednesday, 3rd inst., to Miss Carl on the occasion of her approaching marriage. There were fully 40 guests. The hall was nicely decorated in red and yellow. Songs and recitations were given by some of the suests and were enjoyed by all, especially Mr Croker’s rendering of “Old King Cole." The presents were numerous, useful, and good. Mrs Germann presented Miss Carl with a beautiful bouquet of wistaria and white azaleas.
