OUR SANDSTORMS.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —I quite agree with your two correspondents who wrote regarding the treatment of the borough footpaths. I remember only too well the blinding sand which blow up and down the main street last summer, to the annoyance of everybody. Surely the Borough Council will take notice of the numerous complaints that have been made and will see that the sand is swept off the paths before it gets a chance to scatter. I think the Council should also sweep the main thoroughfare at least once a week, for sometimes its state is disgraceful. This is a very small matter for the sanitary or engineering department to attend to, but it means a tremendous thing for shopkeepers who have their stocks destroyed by the constant sandstorms, and to the frequenters of the street who arc pestered by this nuisance.—l am, etc., ' SHOPKEEPER.
