After -the new Governor had been sworn in, he read a message from the King 'referring to the rapid advancement of South Rhodesia since it had come under British, protection, and paying a tribute to the Chartered Company's administration. • ' Sir C. P. J. Coghlan then announced that the following Ministry had been formed: —Sir C. P...J- Coghlan, Premier and Minister-'of Native Affairs; Sir Francis. Newton, Colonial Secretary,- Mr Flyjin, Treasurer; Mr Hudson, Attorney-General; Mr Moffatt, Minister of Mines'arid'Works;'. Mr Leggate, Minister ofrAgricultiir£.
