SUCCESS IN AMERICA. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. NEW YORK, October 3. Mr Henri Vcrbrugghen last night gave one of six popular recitals. His siring quartet, including Professors Culien, Nichols, and Messeacs, was well reocived. Mr Yerbrugghen is standing the strain well in view of the three surgical operations he underwent recently. He informed the Australian . and New Zealand Press Association that there was little • possibility of his return to Australia, as that would involve declining an extended scries of prospective engagements in America. He said concerning the disbandment of the New South Wales State Orchestra, that lie doubted Ihc possibility of its revival, as Australians were not willing to contribute sufficient to render an organisation of this character permanent.
