LONDON, October 3
The Daily Express' Constantinople correspondent states that the Allied occupation . ended to-day. Happycrowds gathered on.the shores of the Bosphorus. in brilliant sunshine to watch the final ceremonies, impartially applauding the Allied and Turkish troops. The British, French, Italian and Turkish contingents were drawn up in a square. The three Allied flags were brought forward and the National Anthems played. Honour was then paid to the Turkish flag, the band playing the Hymn of Independence. General Sir C. Harington, the French and Italian commanders, and the military governor of the city farewclled each other, and the. Allied contingents separately marched past and embarked on the troopships, which steamed through a line of "Allied warships, which later fell into position behind the transports.
