INTERNAL GERMANY.
IH.P.'S IMPREBSIONB,
FOREIGN HELP ESSENTL\L.
TO SAVE THE COUNTRY,
Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn
Received September 15, 10 a.m. LONDON, September 14
Sir Harry Brittan, Conservative member of the House of Commons 1 for Acton, who went as a delegation to the Baltic Republic, has returned. He declares that only courage and vision will prevent Germany's political and economic collapse. The gigantic boom in German home markets which followed the inflation of the mark is now exhausted, Germany's industrial life being maintained mainly by a limited export trade. Whatever may have been the stupidity of German industrialists and financiers, they are now unquestionably prepared to make every sacrifice to save the country. Unless foreign help of a definite and practical character is forthcoming the outlook will be hopeless.
