WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —In your report of the recent meeting of the above Council we read with interest where the councillors carried out their deliberations in the warm sunshine. Now, this Council is famous for its deliberations', but their methods of dealing with urgent road works are a disgrace. For instance, a large culvert was washed away on the Te Rore-Paterangi road some six weeks ago, and although it is a source of danger and inconvenience to the public, the matter has not been attended to. I would like to -criticise the actions of the engineer and the councillor who "have this matter In hand," but I will pause before doing so.—l am, etc., "DUSTY RHODE."
