NEW ZEALAND SUCCESSES. United Press Association. SYDNEY, August 18. The Rosehill August Meeting was held to-day. The feature of the racing was the success of the New Zealand, horses, Urgency, Ballymena, and Zaragoza each winning their engagementsThe following are. details of the racing:— Rosehill Handicap, 1 mile 3fur. and 40yds.—Urgency (McCarten) 1, Black Burr 2, Basella 3. Urgency won by two lengths. Time, 2m 33£s. High-Weight Handicap, 6 fur.—■ First division: Vespucci and La ran a dead-heat for first place, with Avaunt third; time, lm, 18s. Second division: Ballymena 1, Australian Flag 2, Kitty Kiernan 3. Ballymena won by two lengths. Time, lm. 18s. Maiden Handicap, 6 fur. —First dMsion: Gold Buckle 1, Rosamund 2, Australian Light 3. Won by two lengths. Time lm. 18s. Third division: Zaragoza 1, Polly Map 2, Lask 3. Won. by two lengths. Time, lm. 19Js. The New Zealand jockey, M. McCarten, rode • Urgency, Ballymena, and Zaragoza.Murihapo was not a starter at the meeting.
AN EYE-OPENER.
MR JONES' TRIPLE SUCCESS. United Press Association. (Received August 20, 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, August 20. Rosehill raoegoers got an eyeopener, though not altogether a surprise, according to the wagering, over Jones' treble win with his recentlyarrived team. One paper comments that Jones worked a good joke upon x\ustralians by getting the horses fit before they left home, so that they only needed to be sharpened up to make ihem ready to be backed first lime out. McCarten rode with fine judgrrfent .

GRAND NATIONAL HURDLES. United Press Association. ADELAIDE, August 18. The Adelaide Racing Club's Meeting opened to-day. The following was the result of the leading event: — Grand National Hurdle race, 21 miles. —Golden Form, 9st, 1; Argosy Boy, lOst 111 b, 2; Bronzillet, lOs't 71b, 3. Golden Form won by two lengths ajjd a-half. Time, 4m. 445.
JOCKEY PREMIERSHIP.
S. DONOGHUE LEADING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON, August 18. S. Donoghue steered his GOtli winner for the season to-day, and is now leading. C. Elliott, who was leading some little time back, suffered a fall in the interval, and is now out of the running, while Frank Bullock, who loomed up quite a serious challenger to Donoghue, has taken part in few races since the Goodwood meeting at the end of July.
