Behind the shooting of a railway official as he was leaving his office at the Chief station by three men lies a poignant story of a 20 years’ wait by’ 'three brothers to avenge their sister’s honour. One is a colonel in the army, the second a prominent engineer, and the third a lawyer. Twenty years ago the dead man, Emileo Meto, seduced their . sister, Carlotfra. She unexpectedly encountered Meto in Rome last week, and isummoned her brothers to Rome. .They asked Meto if .he .intended to -remedy the, wrong. Meto replied that he had a wife and child elsewhere. Thereupon the brothers drew revolvers, and fired, killing Meto. Seventeen bullets were found in the body.
