LARGER BRITISH SHARE. EXPORTS EXCEED IMPORTS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON, August 8. i The Board of Trade Journal publishes a table showing that British im- ■ ports from Germany in the first half V of 1923 totalled-£17,000,M0, exports of British produce and manufactures i to- Germany, £20,750,000,' and re- •■ exports of foreign and colonial produce to Germany, £10,250,000. The figures indicate increasing .trade despite the political problems. The corresponding figures for the whole of 1922 j; ■’ were: Imports, £26,500,000; exports, • £32,009,000; re-exporte, £17,000,000. Britain’s chief imports from Ger- ’ - many were, iron and steel, manufacj, lures, paper, cardboard, chemicals, toys, and games. The chief exports to ' Germany were coal, coke, and cotton, i ■ : woollen and Worsted yams. The • chief re-exports were raw wool, furs ! And skins. •
