RAINS IN AUSTRALIA.
SEVERAL STATES BENEFIT. SYDNEY WATER SUPPLY DEPLETED United Press Association. Received Juno 26, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 26. The rains which arc greatly benefiting the wheat and pasloritl areas in New South Wales follow heavy falls in ■West Australia South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, attended in some districts by considerable flooding and damage. The greater portion of Queensland lias also benefited. Tiie coastal districts of New South Wales have so, far escaped, though present indications are that they are likely to participate. Sydney’s consumption of Water for mouths has been in excess of replenishments, and good' rains are anxiously awaited to refill the steadily depleting storage reservoirs.
