In the House of Commons, Mr Stanley Baldwin informed Mr Ramsay MacDonald that the Government did not intend to make representations to the French Government in respect to the rumoured secret negotiations between the French High Commissioners in tlie Rhineland and Germans regarding an attempt to create a separate Rhineland State. The Government had no knowledge of the authenticity of the report.
