ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
SOUTH AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. At the usual weekly meeting of the management committee officials were appointed for the Morrinsvlllc and United match at Hamilton on Saturday. Mr Horace Toombs advised that four school teams had already been formed, and there was every possibility of a further team turning out within the next'week or two.
For the Chatham Cup competition, open to every club in New Zc'aland, it was decided to invite applications from the Upper Waikato elevens, and to field the winners against the best club in the Lower Waikato Association on July 6th, the ultimate winners of tills match to represent the Association in the first round proper of the competition. In view of recent happenings the committee again drew the attention of clubs to the necessity of insuring players.
Jointly with the Hockey Association, who have arranged for the leading team in Auckland to visit them on June 30, it was decided to put on a special match on that date, a percentage of tlie profit from the proceed.-; to be donated to Mr Fieldcn, who met with a serious accident last week.
