MANIAC'S ESCAPE.
FROM NEW YORK ASYLUM. KEEPERS OVERPOWERED. , Australian end N.Z. Cable Assn. Received April 12, 11.10 a.m. NEW YORK, April 11. Four dangerous maniacs in New York State hospital for the criminal insane at Mattewan overpowered the keepers, and with (he aid of smuggled revolvers kidnapped four guards, ami escaped in a stolen molnr. The guards were, later thrown out of the car. Mattewan is the same asylum from which Harry Thaw escaped.
