ECCLESIASTICAL UNION.
LAUBETH PROPOSALS, ARCHBISHOP JULIUS' VIEWS. (United Press Association.) SYDNEY, March 8. Archbishop Julius will sail for New Zealand by the Manuka on Friday. Commenting on I lie effect of the Lambeth conference decisions regarding New Zealand, he said the proposals were kindly and- warmly received there, but still there was no apparent tendency, al present, for ecclesiastical unions. Councils representing 1 the different, churches, which had been formed to deal, with social questions, bad done good work. One of the instances was an interchange of pulpits which took place, but that was opposed to the Lambeth proposals, and in any case il was purely superficial. Comparing Australia and New Zealand, Archbishop Julius said he noiiccd no aggressive national sentiment in Australia such as prevailed in New Zealand.
