EXECUTIVE MEETING. At a meeting of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association, held in Hamilton, there were present Messrs T. Clarkin (in the chair), W. Newell, W. G. Park, J. Teddy, T. Martin, T. Bellamy, J. C. Potts, W. Henry, A. K. Alexander, % W. Livingstone, and J. M. Baxter (secretary). The Hamilton Motor Cycle Club wrote enclosing cheque for £2O, being amount due to the Association by the club for the use of the Showgrounds, but asking the Association to make a refund of £G 10s, which sum represented the loss incurred by the club on its recent sports meeting.—Decided to make the refund as requested. The secretary of the conference of North Island A. and P. Associations requested the Association to appoint delegates to attend the conference to be held at Palmerston North on November 1. —Messrs W. G. Park ancf J. M. Baxter to represent the Association.

The State Forest Service wrote that they would be willing to make a display at the forthcoming show, when several of their officers would be in attendance ■to give farmers information on tree-planting.—Decided to take advantage of the offer. Mr Chas. A. Fenwick, of Gisborne, who judged the light horse section last year, forwarded a trophy valued at £2 2s for the lady rider gaining most points on flat and over jumps. Messrs Bycroft, Ltd., forwarded a special prize for the best milch cow, owned by an exhibitor farming not more than 10 acres. The Auckland Hardware Association wrote offering a (Challenge cup, at 30 guineas, for competition at the annual show.—Decided to allot the cup for the champion draught mare or filly. The Brett Printing Company offereda valuable cup for the cow or heifer, irrespective of breed, holding highest ■semi-official butter-fat record certificate awarded by the Department of Agriculture.
