TOKAANU EARTHQUAKES

OVER 100 IN THREE HOURS. RESIDENTS NOT PERTURBED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Monday. The postmaster at Tokaanu reports that between 12.15 and 3.30 a.m. on Sunday over 100 quakes were felt at Tokaanu, and also a severe shake at 5.30 a.m. Throughout the day the number felt, was 40. Last night the position eased somewhat, and only live took place. The residents arc not at all perturbed.
