LIGHT FOR PUTARURU. By Telegraph.—Press Association. PUTARURU, Monday. Electric light lias been switched on at Putaruru by the Thames Valley Power Board. It made its advent on Thursday evening', when a shop In Princes street and a residence in Marchant street received current for lighting purposes as a trial. On the following evening the remainder of the installations which had been approved by the inspector were connected with the current. A considerable number of installations have yet to be approved, while some have not yet been completed. It is expected that the whole of the work, including the provision of street lights, will be finished this month.
