WATERLOO COURSING

PRETTY MICKEY THE CUP WINNER

(By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) DUNEDIN, Saturday.

The Waterloo Coursing meeting was concluded here this afternoon, when the Waterloo Cup was won by Pretty Mickey (Comedy Chief—Grand Opera). Pretty Mickey, which is the property of Mr J. Hannan, of Matierc, was bred by Mr E. C. Moore, of Frankton. The runner-up was Circus Clown. The Wellington-owned, New Zealand Cadet, second in the Maiden Stake at the opening meeting of the Hamilton Coursing Club this season, won the Plate, and Fowlden Field Ihe Waterloo Purse.

With King Heather Mr J. Frascr Smith of Frankton, supplied the runner-up to New Zealand Cadet. Malster, from the same kennels, was run out in the third round of this event.

The win of Pretty Mickey was a very popular one, as Mr Hannan has been very prominently associated with coursing in the Dominion for many years. The champion dog has recently returned from competing in Australia, where he won a small stake.
