ARMED RUSSIAN BANDS
CROSS ROUMANIAN FRONTIERS. REPULSED AFTER A FIERCE FIGHT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received October 16, 5.5 p.m.' LONDON, October 14. Warsaw advices stale that armed Russian bands crossed the Roumanian frontier, and advanced to Akerman. Another band with machine-guns crossed the Dnieper at Choiin. The Roumanians repulsed them after fierce lighting.
