John Richards Westley, a farmer, was charged in the Stratford Court, on his own confession, with stealing £(iOU, belonging to the Adelaide Soldiers' Land Settlements. Accused, who had a revolver in iiis possession, was also charged witli attempted suicide. He had fired three rounds at his head, but as he was drunk, the :ihots were not effective. Accused was iemanded.
