The School Banner was won by Cambridge with four lirsls, Leamington be • ieg second. SPORTS AT TIRAU. A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. The sports held at Tirau on 1 hnrsday last in aid of the domain fund were a great success. The day was beautifully One and a large crowd was present, the takings at Hie gate amounting to over £37. There were a large number of entries, and keen competition for each event, especially in Hie events for horses. The results were: — 100 Yards.—V. Supper, provided by ir.c ladies ol the district, was s>tvou, and then Mr Selon, on behalf of the Domain Board, thanked the public for the liberal way in which they mi l supported them in raising funds for (he domain. Mrs Scion presented the prizes won during the day, after w:i";ti dancing was resumed. The profit for the day’s spu’d was approximately £OO.
