COLLAPSE IN STREET, By Telegraph—Press Association A woman, apparently between 35 and 45 years of age, collapsed and died in Dowling street last night. The body has not yet been identified, but a document and steamer tickets indicate that she is Miss Smith, of Wellington, who was returning from a holiday at Otautau.
INQUEST ON UNKNOWN MAN. ,
WELLINGTON, Wednesday. At the inquest on the body of the man found near the heads, the mother of Thomson, one of the Omaka’s crew, gave evidence that the remains were not those of her son. The teeth in the skull did not correspond with those of her son. The coroner found that the man was unknown and had probably been drowned. FELL UNbER TRAM CAR. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. A man who has not yet been identified, fell under Ihe wheels of a tramcar, and was killed instantly. Deceased was apparently between 30 and -40 years of age.
