PANAMA AND COSTA RICA

BRITISH INTERESTS INVOLVED. OIL CONCESSION REVOKED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received February 29, 11.5 p.m. WASHINGTON, February 27. It is reported that a state of war exists between Costa Rica and Panama over a boundary dispute. The situation is further agitated by Costa Rica's action In cancelling the British oil concussions. Britain has sent a note and a cruiser to back up her demands.

It is not expected that Britain will take forcible action without notifying the United States, but such notification has not yet b.een given. It Is understood that the United States sides wilh Costa Rica claiming a concession granted by the discredited Tinoeo Government.
