BANK ROBBERY
THE TELLER'S STORY. NO TRACE OF THE THIEVES. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) NELSON, Wi dnesday. Several police officers and detectives are investigating tiie Murcliisuii bank robbery, so far without result. The teller, Mr YVNfrcd Engall, says he was bound and gagged at about ".' ur .'! o'clock on Tuesday morning. About 7 o'clock, when ho was abb; to free himself, he found that the bank had bi en robbed. 'Die two men engaged in the affair got clear away, after securing the teller's"keys and ransacking llu safe, taking over £2OOO. There are several rumours, but nothing has been definitely fixed upon. li. is ii"! yet clear how the premises were forced open or entered. The occurence lias caused quite a sensation al Murchison, taking pla;e when there were many visitors in the t.wnship, attending the Chaulauqm concert. THE MONEY RECOVERED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. NELSuN, Thursday. The police have received word re garding the Murchison bank robber;, that the stolen money has been recoveied.
