TRIAL FOURS. The Hamilton Rowing Club had a successful afternoon on Hie river on Saturday, when four crews competed ui 1 Hie Trial Fours. In Hie first heat Stewart, Payne, Hogg and Malhicson pulled against Stout, Curtis, Hamilton and Murphy, and after a good race the former crew obtained Hie verdict by half a length. In Hie second heat Marks, Buchanan, Davies and Patton competed against Marshall. Jacques, Gibson and Batch elor, the latter crew winning by two lengths. In the final pull Marshall’s crew heal Stewart’s boat after a good race by half a length. The president of Hie club (Mr C. 11. Holloway) officiated as judge. The winners secure trophies presented By Messrs Hugh Wright and Co., Lid., and S. Harris and Co.
