THE COMPETION GAMES. HAMILTON B SCORE 3-POINTER. Y.M.C.A. IN GOOD POSITION. Two competition games were continued on Saturday. Hamilton B gained a 3-point win the A's of the same club, and Y.M.C.A. are holding a very strong position over High School. Hamilton A. V. B. The scoring was very low hy both teams in the Aral innings, and some splendid howling average? were secured. The. A'S did little better on their second visit, to the wickets. Knocking up the required runs for the loss of two wickets, the B's gained a 3-point win. Details are:— HAMILTON A. First Innings. HIGH SCHOOL. This game has shaped itself very much like an inning's defeat for the School. On going first to the batting crease, the School were disposed of for 60 runs, Allen (30) being the only one to make a stand. Y.M.C.A. opened promisingly, and had knocked up the reasonable total of I°3 runs, when the lasl wicket fell. There were several respectable contributions. Hooker (3i) continued the consistent scoring lie lias shown of late. Simpson was undefeated with 31 (not out; to his credit, while Taylor (30) made runs when the bowling was best. Kirkman (18) and Cowan (17) were also responsible for useful tallies. The bowling of Hooker and Johnston was proving too good for the School batsmen again in the second innings. When stumps were drawn they had lost six wickets for only 35 runs. II will require something extra good in the run-making line for the School to save itself from an innings defeat.
