RECORDB FOR JANUARY. The rainfall at Hamilton during January, as recorded by Dr H. Douglas was 2.58 in on 12 days, the heaviest fill being .90in on the 23rd. The average rainfall for January for the period s.rjce 1900 has been 3.67 in. The heaviest January fall was 13.381 n la 1907 and the lightest .71 In 1903. The fall in January last year was 3.96 in on 10 days, In 1919 2.02 in on eight days, in 1918 3.10 in oo eight days. Minamata (Recorder, Mr W. A. Klrkness). —Total fall 2.191 n on 10 days, heaviest fall .841 n on 21st. Tirau (Recorder, Mr P. Shannon). — Total fall 3.15 in on nine days, heaviest fall 1.02 in on 21st. The fall in January, 1920, was 6.431 n. Tw.upiri (Recorder, Mr W. A. Joll). — Total fall 2.14 in on eight days, heaviest fall .79in-on 22nd.
