LOWER WAIKATO'B VISIT. WIN FOR LOCAL TEAM. The visitors in their first strike did little better than the home batsmen. They were only seven runs In advance of the locals' poor score of 77 runs. The home men, by knockfns up 165 runs for the loss of only two wickets in the second innings, showed something like the cricket that the conditions warranted. Snedden (54) and Gilmore (63), both unbeaten, were linked in the partnership thai principally contributed the runs, though Loveridge (24) put together a useful score. Declaring at this stage, the locals left the visitors 158 to get in an hour and three-quarters, but the last wicket fell with 92 runs on the board. F. Sefton (26) and A.
