Viscount Uchida, Minister for Frreign Affairs, informed the Diet thai Japan insisted from the beginning- that she is entitled to the German rights and irtercsts at. Yap, and the same policy will be followed. He added that it was decided at Versailles to postpone the consideration of the Yap question to another occasion. Recent international .communications between the conference at Washington had not succeeded in reaching a decision regarding Yap, and it was decided to refer the matter to the next conference.
